Based 12 miles from Cambridge, on the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk border, the Links Golf Lab, Newmarket provides a premier lesson and club fitting service. In our state of the art indoor studio we are instantly able to gather feedback on all swing and club data using the very latest in technology to help improve your game.
We are proud to boast a team of 3 PGA highly qualified golf professionals and 1 PGA trainee at The Links Golf Lab, with over 65 years of experience between them. The team all share a passion for coaching and club fitting and are committed to delivering highly effective solutions for your golf game.
Swing Lessons
Every player has their own unique swing DNA that must be fully evaluated before a mutually agreed plan for improvement can be agreed between player and coach. Our approach to swing coaching is fully customised to meet your needs.
All lessons are delivered using high speed cameras with video analysis and club and ball data collected using GC2 and HMT launch monitors. After each lesson you will be provided with a video and audio analysis of your session providing you with a clear plan for improved golf.
At the Links Golf Club we also have an outdoor golf range with an outstanding putting green and short game area complete with bunkers to meet all lesson requirements. This is the perfect accompaniment to the Golf Lab allowing us to deliver holistic solutions for your entire game.
Putting Lessons
Putting lessons and coaching have made huge developments using technology in recent years. With the use of Quintic Ball Roll and Capto, crucial data is captured and allows for the monitoring of any changes to be made. Just like long game, putter coaching is all about assessing each golfer as an individual as we are all different in our stroke tendencies.
Jonny is our specialist putting coach. He has become one of only 7 Quintic Ball Roll Level 2 accredited instructors in the UK, gaining a reputation for his putting coaching in the East Anglia region.
When looking at the best putters in the world they are exceptionally good at controlling their start line and speed. It is crucial to have an understanding of your technique and how you can control these key areas.
Using the data captured we can make the necessary changes to build a functional technique which performs and gives you control on the golf course. You can choose to have your lessons on the green or in our state of the art putting lab.
Club and Putter Fitting

Here at the Links Golf Lab we are totally independent in which brands we stock and sell. We build a relationship up with all our clients, we understand their game requirements and we care that when they purchase a golf club from us it will help their game. We custom fit all clubs for male, female, juniors and left handed golfers at the Links Golf Lab.
Recognised as Cambridgeshire and Suffolk’s leading putter fitting centre, you will be expertly custom fitted to your new putter by a qualified Quintic Ball Roll fitter.
